OUR GOAL FOR OUR CHILDRENOur deepest desire at All Saints', Kingsway is that our children will become engaged in the great Christian Story in a way that helps them to understand how the life and teachings of Jesus Christ can permeate their thinking and help them to integrate their faith with their lives,
WHAT WE DOAs you arrive for the 9:30 am service each Sunday, children will go directly to their designated faith formation areas before the service begins. The greeters at the doors will be happy to tell you where different age groups meet.
Godly Play
welcomes children from age 3 to grade 1 to an innovative and unique program which goes much farther than telling kids about things Jesus did. It creates a story around the children so that they find themselves right in the middle of a Biblical scene, and then it invites them to look around, make observations and ask questions and "wonder" about what it means and how it might affect their own lives. Story tellers and gate-keepers work together to make this a safe and exciting experience for our young friends. (Godly Play is also available at the 11:00 am service for children of all ages.)
Seasons of the Spiritwelcomes three age groups to Sunday morning encounters, including Grade 2-3, Grade 4-5, and Grade 6 and Beyond (Junior Youth Group - see Youth section on this website for exciting events coming up, or e-mail Kelly Malcolmson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Seasons of the Spirit is a lectionary-based program which means that our children are engaged in the same readings as the adults. This program draws the children into an encounter that invites them to explore meaning and mystery in the Bible, and teaches them to engage in acts of love and justice in the world. Children rejoin their parents for communion and the conclusion of the service. Christmas PageantOur annual pageant will take place at the Christmas Eve service in the early evening. Everyone has a part in this wonderful drama. (Even some of our pets!) Around the Tableis an exciting, colourful monthly liturgy that takes place over breakfast in our auditorium downstairs. We focus on one scripture story which is told or enacted in a dramatic way, and then we are all drawn into a response to the story around our tables, so that we may reflect together on its significance in our lives. There will be new surprises every month. Around the Table takes place on the last Sunday of each month (December excluded).
