About Children’s Ministry

Our deepest desire at All Saints' Kingsway is that our children will become engaged in the great Christian story in a way that helps them to understand how the life and teachings of Jesus Christ can permeate their thinking and help them to integrate their faith with their lives, relationships, and experiences. It is our hope that their personal encounter with the generous love of God through Christ will continue to overflow into the world in new and radical ways.

Godly Play
An innovative and unique program for ages 3 to grade 5

Godly Play welcomes children to an innovative and unique program, which goes much farther than telling kids about things Jesus did. It creates a story around the children so that they find themselves right in the middle of a Biblical scene, and then it invites them to look around, make observations, ask questions, and "wonder" about what it means and how it might affect their own lives. "Storytellers" and "doorkeepers" work together to make this a safe and exciting experience for our young friends.
This year we have two Godly Play groups at All Saints’:
- Children from ages 3 to grade one will meet in the Godly Play room (to left at bottom or esat stair-well)
- children in grades two to five will meet in the north Montessori room (also downstairs and down the hall to the right).

Please note that there is no Godly Play during “Everybody Upstairs” Sundays.

“Everybody Upstairs”
About once a month there will be an “Everybody Upstairs” Sunday. During these services the children will remain with their parents upstairs throughout the entire service and join in the worship with the rest of the All Saints' family. The service will be all inclusive to make everyone feel welcome.
|
Nursery Care
Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers every Sunday during the 10:00 am service.

Messy Church
An interactive, informal church experience for parents and young children

Do you find it difficult to get to church on Sunday? Do you hesitate to drop your children off with others? Do you worry that your child is disturbing others? Would you like to spend more time with your children at church?
We have the thing for you!
Once a month All Saints’ will offer an interactive, informal church experience for parents and young children. We will gear a story, work together with craft materials, share a simple holy communion, and have a snack. The whole experience will take no more than an hour and will be causal and child-friendly throughout.
Messy Church generally takes place at 4:30 pm on the last Saturday of the month. Check the Children's & Youth Ministries section on our Home page for any changes or special announcements.

Christmas Pageant
All children are encouraged to join in our annual Christmas pageant, which takes place during the 4:30pm service on Christmas Eve. Preparation takes place during the 10:00 services during Advent, with our final rehearsal on Christmas Eve morning.
Lots of help is needed, so parents and older youth are asked to get involved.
