Group News:

Parents are reminded that   Scouting is considered a "Sports activity" under the Ontario tax credit program for Youth. Keep track of all direct Scouting related expenses    (registration fees, uniforms, camp fees, personal equipment, etc. )   during the year so you may claim them when filing your Income Tax return.    The Group and Section leaders will be pleased to help you with summary information on fees.

Annual 219th Banquet  - usually held during Scout / Guide week -- around Feb. 22nd

Fund-Raising:
WHY??   when we all pay Registration Fees
  • So we "leave no-one behind" --  some families need assistance paying registration and activity fees
  • To reduce the fees for our camps and other activities
  • To provide special activities   (e.g.  All Section Camp is 'free' to all)  or  prizes
  • To cover "operating costs" --  camp equipment, awards / badges, program materials
  • To make a contribution to our Sponsor  (All Saints' Kingsway Church) in appreciation for use of the Church.

HOW??    We raise funds for the Group's activities in a variety of ways

  • the most significant being the  Christmas Tree  sales in November.

  • Apple Day,   3rd weekend in Oct.
  • Scout Popcorn sales     Feb./March
  • Firt & Dirt  -  aka  Garden Products Sale  --  April sales, delivery last Sat of month.
