Following extensive consultation with the All Saints' congregation, and meetings with Bishop Ann Tottenham and Bishop Poole, the Parish Selection Committee submitted a completed Parish Profile to Bishop Poole. The following file contains much of that Profile, but excludes the 2003 and 2004 Vestry Reports and annual financial statements which also formed part of the whole submission...
OVERVIEW
Founded in 1944, All Saints’ Kingsway is located in central Etobicoke at the corner of Bloor Street West and Prince Edward Drive. Liturgically, our approach in recent years has been to offer choice, with excellence. Our services are currently middle-of-the-road Anglican. Typically, there are three Sunday services, using both the Book of Alternative Services and the Book of Common Prayer with monthly Evensongs. Additional services include Thursday morning Eucharists and Evensongs. Average weekly attendance has been relatively stable at roughly 220 per Sunday. Financially, the parish is also stable. We look for our new incumbent to build on the existing ministries at All Saints’. As well, the new incumbent will need to provide leadership in the following areas: Ensure that the pastoral needs of the congregation, which includes a significant number of elderly people, are well taken care of. Help All Saints’ reconcile having the size and aspirations of a “program” sized parish, while having been heretofore organised as a “pastoral” sized one. Develop adult Christian education programming that satisfies an identified thirst within our congregation. Provide spiritual guidance for living as Christians in the 21st century.

It was decided that a suitable painting or banner be commissioned to hang over the newly created Columbarium in the North Transcept. This was the banner that won the competition.
